Volcom VQS Championships

Hey Everyone,​

This past weekend was one filled with fun! Not only was it mother's day on sunday, but the Volcom VQS championships took place in Newport Beach, CA. Volcom always knows how to put on a fun event, and this was no exception. The waves were less than ideal, but everyone made the most of the hard conditions and surfed great! I ended up taking 3rd in the final. Big thanks too Body Glove for coming down to the event to support me, to ZJ boarding house for all the love, and to Volcom for putting on another awesome event!

Hey Everyone,​

summer is coming up and I wanted to share with you one of my favorite summer snacks! It is super easy to make and delicious (:

Hearts of Palm Salad

Ingredients: 
1 can (15 oz.) hearts of palm (or half of a 25 oz. jar), drained and cut into slices
2 small avocados, diced
2 T + 1 T fresh squeezed lime juice
1 cup small grape tomatoes, cut in half 
sea salt to taste

Instructions:

Put palm hearts into a colander placed in the sink and let them drain while you prep other ingredients.  Dice avocados, put them in a bowl large enough to hold all the salad ingredients, and toss with 2 T of fresh lime juice.

Slice the hearts of palm and separate into rings (or cut in half if they don't separate easily.)  Cut the grape tomatoes into half. 

Toss the hearts of palm, tomatoes, and green onions with the avocado/lime juice mixture, then add more lime juice to taste.

Princeton Hockey GoPro

On my recent trip to visit my boyfriend at Princeton University, We decided to have some fun with my new GoPro Hero3 camera. He is a member of the Ice Hockey team, so we decided to mount the cam on his, and a few of his team mates' helmets. Here is a little video from the fun!
